Several have left positive comments about them. I'm leaning against sashing. I think it would be an interruption and create a more static look to the quilt. I'm leaning toward no sashing (even though my husband, who is usually noncommittal about quilts in progress, thought they definitely needed sashing). I have another row to make and then I'll have a second look and decide.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12136584654825212359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3572317733773180899.post-38162260855172571382019-11-12T12:30:58.114-05:002019-11-12T12:30:58.114-05:00Oh, yes, me, too, Robin. It has been fun to work on a quilt that requires so little.

Our leaves finally began turning around the very end of October. Many trees still have their leaves, both green, grown, and bright, but last night it snowed! You have a good eye and I always appreciate your thoughts. From the beginning sashing was in the back of my mind as an option but I wasn't keen on it and didn't think it would work. My husband, usually deferential when I ask his opinion about quilts, said he definitely thought these blocks needed sashing, "but whatever you think," he said.
I needed to make another row of leaves and am almost finished.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12136584654825212359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3572317733773180899.post-44352920836065811482019-11-10T21:00:08.631-05:002019-11-10T21:00:08.631-05:00Oh I like them - the scrappy backgrounds adds that...Oh I like them - the scrappy backgrounds adds that depth of color that you find in forests- and the leaves - Beautiful colors!!Alycia~Quiltygirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16283575876006453806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3572317733773180899.post-91597278908075266542019-11-10T11:50:30.486-05:002019-11-10T11:50:30.486-05:00Wonderful Leaf blocks, they really capture the fee...Wonderful Leaf blocks, they really capture the feel of Autumn. Our fall colors were less than spectacular this year as well. It definitely speaks of autumn to me, and the blocks with lighter colors and less contrast give the whole thing the variety and depth that make it so interesting to the eye. I like the blocks together with no sashing, but if you really want to sash the blocks I am sure you will find something that clicks for you.Janet O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05083607398709252597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3572317733773180899.post-48820047504076543522019-11-09T09:03:22.119-05:002019-11-09T09:03:22.119-05:00i love them and the different backgrounds....a rea...i love them and the different backgrounds....a real autumn feel which is what you probably wanted in the beginning...cityquilter gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16769584628450845408noreply@blogger.com
