Pinning, Stitching

I pin from left to right but I stitch from right to left.
It makes it a little hard sew in sections.
How about you?  Which direction do you pin and stitch?

This is the back of the String-X and I'm excited to be almost finished.

  1. I sew binding on from right to left. But I don't pin. I just hold the binding with my left hand. It looks as if you have been very productive lately, wish I could say the same thing.

  2. I sew from right to left and use those bend and snap hair clips. Your stitching on your binding looks very tidy, Nancy so your way obviously works for you :)

  3. I, too, use the snap hair clips to hold the binding when I sew.

Here's a link to one of my blog posts that shows the clips:

I attach the clips as far as I have enough for...sew that part down...then clip down the next part.

  4. Yeeps! Those pins look painful! I don't pin, I too use the snappy hair clips and I stitch from right to left.

    1. I'm going to try the hair clips next time! I'm sure they'll be less painful than the occasional pin prick.
