I made 18 more blocks, most medium/dark in the green/blue color range, to add to the others.
I also added a few brown blocks from the original group I'd made. And now the layout looks (almost) like this. I made 18 extra blocks thinking I would go for an 8 x 9 layout but
it seemed too wide so I've left it (for the moment) at a 7 x 9 layout.
I know there will be some more rearranging of blocks tomorrow. And them I'm hoping to sew these them together soon so I can move on to the red Buckeye Beauty. While this quilt is not one of my favorites I think it will be okay.

Wow, those blocks look so striking all together - truly a very beautiful scrap quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. You're kind to say so.
DeleteI think this is a wonderful "random looking" scrap quilt--the kind I wish I could make. Your mix of colors and prints (even a little Kaffe) is what scrap quilts are all about, and it works for me!
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind, Janet. Thank you.
DeleteI love the colors of this........and again, it reminds me a beachy kind of scene with the blues, greens, and browns. It's a great scrap quilt!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kevin, for your kind words.
DeleteI love these colors together. Very earthy and peaceful. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cynthia. And thank you for hosting Oh Scrap!
DeleteThose plaids you used are wonderful! Those are great blocks.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan.
DeleteI like the secondary pattern with the layout you are using. It's going to be a fun scrappy quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate. I think that secondary pattern was part of what attracted me to this block and layout.
DeleteYum,yum, yum ❤ charming quilt blocks. Scrappy is my type of quilting. Carolyn
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carolyn. I love scrappy best, too.
