April's One Monthly Goal: Autumn Maples

This quilt is wildly out of season and I'd rather be quilting one in spring-like colors just now but I'm going to pick up where I left off before I began the baby quilt at the beginning of February.

At the beginning of April there were 39 blocks yet to be quilted.  My One Monthly Goal for April is to hand quilt 10 of them.

  1. When I enlarged the photo I could see the quilting very well. I am impressed. The colors of this quilt call to me no matter the time of year!

    1. Thank you, Janet.  I will be very happy to finish this one and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens after it's washed and dried.  I hope the quilting "works" with the leaves.

    1. Thank you, Frédérique.  The quilting lines are free-hand, so they're not quite perfect.  More like free-motion hand quilting, I guess.  But, they hold the layers together!

  3. I really like your color choices in this one, Nancy. That pink really adds to the mix a lot...hugs, Julierose

    1. Thank you, Julierose.  The color you see as pink in the photo looks less pink and a little more coral in person.  I wish I were a better photographer!

    1. Thank you, Jennie.  I suppose the more quickly I finish it the sooner I can get to something more spring- or summer-like!
