Accomplished:  One Monthly Goal for April

At the beginning of April I determined (in this post) that I would finish hand quilting all the blocks in the center of this quilt.


I'm pleased to say that yesterday I accomplished that goal.  (And won't we all be pleased when this quilt is finally finished, down to the binding, so we won't have to see it over and over again, post after post?!  I know I will be!)

You may be able to see the pins around the edges of the quilt.  Those are in the 20 half-block setting triangles around the edges yet to be quilted.

    Good for you, Nancy. Doesn't it feel good to reach your goal? I don't often do so, myself, but I savor the feeling when I do! : )

      It does feel great, Janet, but I think you often reach your goals. Maybe sometimes not in the time that you want, but I read your blog and see all you do. You're amazing!

    I never tire to seeing your progress! Your quilts are always lovely and it's refreshing to see each step as well as read about your thought process in making each decision along the way. Three cheers for completing your goal!
    What thread do you enjoy using for your quilting?

      I've been using Connecting Threads for both machine stitching and hand quilting. It has been great for both until this most recent spool that I'm using for hand quilting. I'm about to pitch it out the door. It tangles and knots. I don't have any other at the moment and am not sure what brand to try. What kind do you use (for hand quilting) and are you satisfied with it?
