I have so many reasons to be grateful. Many of them are other bloggers--maybe you're one of them!--who include a link to my blog on their/your sidebar.

I know others may have my blog in their sidebar, and I thank them, too. I only included recent referral blogs in this list.
Not everyone who visits leaves a comment, which I can certainly understand. But I wanted to say how thankful I am for those of who do take the time to read and respond to my posts. Several of these dear readers have become what I call blogging friends--we correspond via email and sometimes by mail, too.

Nancy, you are such a bright spot to me! I am grateful for you...on we go!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie. You are so kind to say that.
DeleteThank you so much Nancy, you're such a sweetheart, I'm so happy to call you a blogging friend. I love that you're so great at leaving beautiful comments when you stop by and visit, they're so much appreciated. I have a link to your blog on mine also, so I hope I'm able to send sweet quilting friends your way too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a super week, big love and hugs, Tazzie xoxox
Thank you, Tazzie. I realized that I didn't have your blog in my sidebar so I added it today. I wouldn't want anyone to miss the opportunity to see that beautiful quilt you're working on!
DeleteNancy, this was a very sweet way to say thank you. I really enjoy and appreciate our online friendship. You are a kind and thoughtful soul.
ReplyDeleteI know over half of the bloggers in your first list (even a few of the ones who haven't posted for years), and all of the bloggers in the second list. You are supported by good people! ;)
Thank you, Janet. I'm just so grateful for the interaction with other quilters. I do have a small circle of great blogging friends who are good, supporting people, don't I? (You included!)
DeleteI consider you my friend too. You are such a kind caring person.
ReplyDeleteThank you for thinking so, Robin. I'm a work in progress!
DeleteI love making friends on blogs via comments and responses. It is such a joy to find kindred spirits. Your writing and photos, your stories and musing of your projects is so intelligent, I find your writing so interesting. And i am honored to be mentioned as a blog friend!
ReplyDeleteI do not post links on my side bar for a few random reasons: Pet peeve is blogs posted that are very defunct, like 8 years since any action there; 2-I find the lists of blogs graphically displeasing to my eye, on my own blog; 3-I have readers who are not quilters, I do not want them put off by a quilts only list.4-I won't list anyone who hasn't listed me, and no one does, ooops. 🤣
Thank you, Lizzy. What kind comments about my blog and writing.
DeleteI can understand your reasons for not including a blogroll on your blog. I've gone back and forth about whether to include one (on all of my blogs) and finally decided that it was a way to support the community and individuals in the community. (Not that I get all that many visitors.) Sometimes I think blogrolls could and do look clunky, and for a blog like yours (with content that varies between quilting, food, home dec, gardening, etc.) better left off. Your blog is so beautiful with all the photos in your sidebar.
