This quilt is larger than it looks in the photo above. It's folded into 6ths and is a large twin size quilt.
Speaking of binding.... I'll have to lay it out and audition some fabrics for binding, but in the meantime, I'm considering possibilities. I think the best option will be to use just one color but the questions are:
- A scrappy binding or a non-scrappy binding? Maybe the quilt is already too scrappy (read busy) for a scrappy binding? Maybe it needs a "quiet" binding?
- Which color? Use a color and/or fabric that's already in the quilt or choose a neutral?
I'm linking this post to W.i.P. Wednesday at Freshly Pieced. Thanks for hosting, Lee.

P.S. This is the last time you will see this quilt as a work in progress. (Hooray!)
.
I make a lot of scrap quilts and love a darker coloured binding (navy is my all time fav). It somehow brings all the different fabrics in the quilt together. I have done scrappy, non scrappy and solid bindings. All of them work.
ReplyDeleteLOL - I've used 'never' before. Let's just say that 'never' arrived sooner than I thought it would. :) I like wombatquilts' idea of using a darker color to pull all of those yummy fabrics together. I like the idea of a blue...or a brown, but use what you have. It's going to be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to put on the binding - cause then the quilt is done! You can do it - get if finished by 3/31! I think one color - I would pick my favorite color and go for it.
